The Polis Annual Conferences provide an opportunity for cities and regions to showcase their transport achievements to a large audience and for the wider transport community to engage with representatives of city and regional authorities on innovative transport solutions.
This year’s Annual Polis Conference on “Transport innovation for sustainable cities and regions” will take place on 22 and 23 November 2018. It will be hosted by Polis president Manchester, and will take place in the Manchester United Old Trafford Stadium.

The European Cycling Summit 2018 is taking place in Salzburg (Austria) from 24th to 26th of September 2018. This year’s event motto is “Cycling culture moves” and will focus on people and bike culture.
This year’s CIVITAS Forum Conference will take place from 19-21 September in Umeå, Sweden.
Over three days, hundreds of policymakers, city representatives, academics, and practitioners will gather to debate pressing topics surrounding sustainable urban mobility and witness the pioneering solutions bringing cleaner, better transport to Europe.

The Czech parking Association will host the annual joint workshop of the European Parking Association and Polis in the marvellous city of Prague. This workshop will take place on 13 September and is followed the day after by a Polis network Parking Working Group meeting.
The workshop gathers about 80 urban parking professionals discussing recent developments in parking. The 13 September workshop will deal with three issues:
- Fair and efficient enforcement: scheme design and technologies to enable efficient enforcement, clamping, cross-border and digital enforcement
- Future of parking: parking as enabler for A system that gives people access to a (small or large) flee..., electromobility, parking policy in view of automated driving
- EU parking policy processes: digital parking standards, PARK4SUMP project
The working group meeting on 14 September will focus on the validation of the Polis position paper on the use of digital parking information (informed drivers and informed policy makers).

Smart Mobility – Synergy Between Sustainable Mobility and New Technologies
The goal of this conference is to explore new forms of solving contemporary problems and to initiate common actions that will lead to a new dimension of planning and faster adoption of smart mobility in towns and cities in south-eastern Europe.

This year’s CIVITAS FORUM Conference will take place on 27-29 September 2017 in Torres Vedras, Portugal. The annual event brings together the CIVITAS community from across Europe: hundreds of mobility experts, actors and stakeholders, all of whom are devoted to the development of sustainable urban mobility in their cities.
SUNRISE will be there together with Cities4People, METAMORPHOSIS, MUV, the other three new CIVITAS projects which focus on urban districts or neighbourhoods.
The session will include a short presentation of each project and some insights from a related initiative from the SUITS project. Afterwards, two parallel breakout groups will discuss the advantages, potential and promises of neighbourhood-focused approaches, as well as their risks, disadvantages and pitfalls. All participants will have a chance to play both the sceptic and the optimist during this interactive World Café–style discussion.
